Cookie policy
The short version: this website sets no cookies at all. No advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, no analytics cookies. This page sets out exactly what that means, so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

What is stored on your device
One item, and only after you dismiss the notice at the foot of the page. It is stored in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie, so it is never sent to us or to anyone else — it stays on your device.

Under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, storage that is strictly necessary to provide something you have asked for does not require consent. Remembering that you dismissed a notice falls into that category, which is why the notice tells you what we do rather than asking you to agree to it.
How we measure use of the site
We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is designed to work without cookies. It records aggregate information about page visits — which pages were viewed, the site or search engine you arrived from, the country you were in, and your browser and device type — so we can tell which pages are useful and which are not.
It does not set cookies, does not store an identifier on your device, and does not follow you across other websites or build a profile of you. We cannot use it to identify you, and we do not sell or share the data with anyone.
Other requests your browser makes
Loading any web page means your browser contacts the servers that host it. Two are worth naming here, because both receive your IP address as an unavoidable part of delivering the page — neither sets a cookie:

What we don't do
- No advertising or marketing cookies, and no advertising network tags
- No tracking pixels, social media buttons or embedded third-party players
- No profiling, and no following you from this site to any other
- No selling or sharing of information about visitors to this site
Clearing what's stored, and blocking the rest
To remove the single stored item, clear site data for phial.health in your browser settings — in most browsers that is under Privacy, then a "cookies and site data" or "clear browsing data" option. The site notice will simply appear again next time you visit.
If you would rather nothing was recorded at all, most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" or tracking-protection setting, and browser extensions that block analytics scripts will stop ours from loading. Nothing on this site breaks if you block it — every page works exactly the same.
If this ever changes
If we ever add something that does set cookies, we will replace the notice at the foot of the page with a proper choice — nothing of that kind will load unless you accept it first — and this page will be updated to say so before it happens. Questions about any of this go to hello@phial.health.
